Cologne has headquartered Lufthansa since the time of its inception in 1933. It had started with a mere 20 aircrafts and now has the best world-class aircraft models numbering over a hundred. It remains unparalleled in virtues of speed, reliability, comfort, economy and safety. Lufthansa has grown to occupy the position of the national airlines of the republic of Germany. It operates through its two main regional partners: Lufthansa City Line and Lufthansa Regional. |
Its freighter destinations are managed by the Lufthansa Cargo division. The determinants of economy, climate as well as political conditions help decide whether a particular destination should be included or excluded from the list of Lufthansa destinations.
